Basic research and translational activities in improving vision of affected eyes with cell based therapies will soon become a reality. In this regard VisionTec is collaborating with Nichi-In centre for Regenerative Medicine to start Worlds First Corneal Endothelial Stem Cell Bank
(CESBANK; www.cesbank.org) in the south east asia to serve this region.

In addition to the corneal endothelial work, we plan to start providing the following services to eye hospitals/clinics in Malaysia and countries around with Malaysia as a hub:

(i) Isolation and expansion of autologous limbal tissue derived corneal epithelial stem cells for treating unilateral limbal stem cell deficiency
(ii) Isolation and expansion of autologous buccal mucosal epithelial cells for treating bilateral corneal limbal stem cell deficiency, which is called as Cultured Oral Mucosal Epithelial Transplant (COMET)

We are also a part of TOTAL STEM CELLS team and we have initiated a project called HYBRID CORNEA to develop an artificial Corneal Prosthesis

The facial Anti-Wrinkle treatment using In-Vitro expanded autologous fibroblast is one of our proposals to be started in south east asia (www.miawmi.com)
